Ira Goosay, 74, a longtime Taylor resident, handed absent Thursday afternoon at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Centre in Taylor just after a the latest health issues. His beloved wife and greatest pal, Evelyn (Mrowcza) Goosay, survives.
Born in Scranton on Oct. 24, 1946, son of the late Joyce and Benjamin Goosay, Ira was a graduate of the previous Scranton Specialized Substantial Faculty, class of 1964, prior to graduating from the Pennsylvania Institute of Technological innovation in Philadelphia and proudly serving his region in the United States Army Reserve.
A master salesman, Ira began his career in automotive income with I.R. Motorhomes. He co-owned the franchise Ugly Duckling Vehicle Rentals in Dickson Town ahead of performing for Sunlight Buick in Moosic, wherever he worked several decades in advance of his retirement. He then worked as a section-time faculty bus driver.
Content-go-fortunate, to know Ira was to really like him. Above all else arrived his family whom he truly adored. He’ll undoubtedly be skipped by all who understood him.
Alongside with Evelyn, he is also survived by his adoring grandsons, Ethan Wassel and Paul Wassel III his dear sisters, Francine Metallo and Jerilyn Schnessel, both of those of Florida sister-in-regulation, Carol Orloski of Taylor stepson, Paul Wassel fantastic-grandchildren, Tyler and Donovan and numerous nieces and nephews.
His sister, Marcia Milkman, and his mother-in-law, Florence Mrowcza, also preceded him in demise on March 16.
Private blessing providers are scheduled from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Property Inc., 517 N. Major St., Outdated Forge, with interment and entire armed forces rites by the AMVETS Honor Guard to follow at the Cathedral Cemetery in West Scranton.
